Joint developments of SUSU and Mechanical engineering plant were presented on the 10th thematic week “Import phaseout in the gas field”

The 10th thematic week “Import phaseout in the gas field” finished on the 12th of November in St. Petersburg in the Expo center “Lenexpo”, organized by OJSC “Gazprom” together with the directorate of St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. The representatives of authorities, government companies and the biggest manufacturers  of the equipment in the gas field discussed the issues of governmental support in the way of Import phaseout and further prospects of development.

SUSU and JSC Miass Mechanical engineering plant (MMZ) presented joint developments in the production of composite material pontoons for fuel storage containers. “Specialists, working in oil and gas field, understand clearly how serious the demands on equipment are, and they keep distance valuating any technical innovations “ – comments on the representative of Miass Mechanical engineering plant, supervising the field of research and innovation work of  JSC MMZ, Vladimir Lunev. -But in this case, understanding the relevance of the Import phaseout problem and the necessity  of the implementation of Russian developments , they show project interest.  The requests of examinations’ acceleration and serial production of composite material pontoons organization were announced by the operating bodies.

It is to be recalled that composite material constructions were developed during the research  and design and experimental works according to the  agreement between MMZ and SUSU specialists. It is relevant to mention that domestically produced materials were used in the constructions’ development. At the moment the units are being examined.
